چکیده
Human brucellosis is an infectious disease, caused by different species of the genus Brucella. It a mandatory notifiable disease in most countries, including Morocco, and thus requires special vigilance on part health agencies. Prevention this based surveillance prevention risk factors. Its management serological or other diagnostic tests. The National Laboratory Epidemic Diseases received 17 blood samples human origin for notified cases region southern Morocco. Biological confirmation these was performed Rose Bengal test ELISA IgM test. results showed positivity rate 88% proving important role tests diagnosis brucellosis. Other rapid efficient techniques are becoming essential cases, taking into account advanced biosafety procedures highly pathogens.

ELISA Cut-off Point for the Diagnosis of Human Brucellosis; a Comparison with Serum Agglutination Test
Background: Brucellosis is a world-wide disease, which has a diverse clinical manifestation, and its diagnosis has to be proven by laboratory data. Serum agglutination test (SAT) is the most-widely used test for diagnosing brucellosis. The enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) can also determine specific antibody classes against brucella. It is a sensitive, simple and rapid test, which coul...

We have read with interest the recent article by Morata et al. reporting their study of two of the possible factors which can interfere with specific DNA amplification in a peripheralblood PCR assay used for the diagnosis of human brucellosis (2). The study deals with the optimization of a method described in a previous work by these authors (4), in which they report a sensitivity of 100% and a...

The persistent worldwide prevalence of human brucellosis causes serious public health concerns and economic loss to communities. The multisystem involvement and the protean and unusual clinical presentations of the disease pose significant diagnostic challenges. The clinical features are non-specific and can overlap with a wide spectrum of other infectious and non-infectious diseases, leading t...

The relative efficacy of the card test in the diagnosis of human brucellosis was evaluated by comparison with four other tests: the standard tube agglutination test, centrifugation agglutination test, 2-mercaptoethanol degradation technique, and 2-mercaptoethanol centrifugation agglutination test. A total of 1,701 serum specimens from persons with various degrees of potential exposure to brucel...
